Applying Biblical Principles Prayer

Heavenly Father,

I come before You today, seeking Your wisdom and guidance as I navigate my work and faith. Lord, I desire to pray, listen, and obey, knowing that You offer guidance and wisdom through the principles found in Your Word.

Help me, Lord, to be anchored in these Biblical principles as I work this day and everyday.

- Counting the cost and considering the long-term impact of my decisions,

- Having vision and setting my eyes on goals that align with Your will,

- Speaking the truth in love and grace, even in challenging situations.

Most importantly, Lord, I ask for Your help in waiting and listening to Your still small voice each day, especially as I work. Guide my actions and thoughts, helping me to see the people behind the problems. Too often, I get driven by the need to solve problems and miss the opportunity to connect with those around me. Help me to step into opportunities to offer your amazing hope and love and be at the ready to part of your eternal plan of saving the lost, discipling the saved and helping the most needy.

I confess that I am sometimes scared of being too religious in my work world, so I miss spiritual openings as people around me deal with the trials of life: financial, health, relational and more. Draw me close to You, Lord, and calm my anxious heart. Remind me that You are Lord over every aspect of my life, including my work and work is my great place to share your love and mercy.

Help me to trust in Your sovereignty and lean on Your understanding, not my own. May Your presence be evident in my life as I seek to live out my faith this day and everyday as I do the work you have called me into. Thank you for work and help me pray, listen and obey you as I go!
